**Post-doc position in Marseille: miRNA as health biomarkers**

The C2VN (Center for CardioVascular and Nutrition research, Marseille, France), takes part of the European funded project JPI ERA-NET **INTEGRActiv**, led by the Foundation Health Research Institute of the Balearic Islands, Spain. Our collaborators include the Spanish partner, University Wageningen (NL), and University Prague (Czech Republic).

**INTEGRActiv project is **focused on the **identification of integrated markers reflecting physical activity level and health in children and adolescents**, which represent an important target population to address personalized interventions to improve future, life long, metabolic health. Identification of new biomarkers will be achieved by combining measures of physical activity and cardiorespiratory and muscular fitness with anthropometric measures, cardiovascular risk factors and endocrine markers, cytokines, circulating miRNA, and gene expression profile in blood cells and metabolomics profile in plasma and blood cells.

It is expected that new identified robust biomarkers reflecting physical activity level and its relation with health will guide nutritional/life-style and clinical advice and public policies related to endorse biomarker
- based personalized physical activity, with a better adherence and response, to promote health and prevent disease risk factors since early stages of life.

**Job description**

In the C2VN, the group of JF Landrier and the platform PhenoMARS will be in charge of miRNA quantification in the cohort of children and adolescents before and after educational intervention.

The position is currently available in the group in order **to perform all analyses related to the miRNA quantifications **and relevant associated analyses.

**Job requirements**
- PhD in molecular biology with good background on miRNAs (extraction, quantification, etc.)
- skills in bioinformatics and biostatistics
- A solid experimental background, a publication record, and excellent communication skills in English.
