Safety Regulation Manager

At Strategic Product Planning, you will lead a team influencing the product regulation development around vehicle safety, so you will take the challenge to contribute to make our trucks even safer, to create a world where road death is reduced to zero.
We are looking for a regulation manager, who, in addition to his role as a Regulation specialist around Safety,
**will coordinate the regulation development in the safety domain **where several regulation specialists interact and
** **who
** will act as a group manager for the concerned regulation specialists**, with the aim to secure the expected final regulations development are aligned with the assumptions we provide internally (technical content and timeline of implementation).
You will
**drive the definition and the execution of the Regulation development strategy**, in alignment with the Volvo Group product solution strategies.

You will manage the activity with a **results-oriented approach**, manage the team to **further enhance the **individual and collective** performances,** to secure the continuation of a good **share of transversal responsibilities** within the full SPP Product Regulation team. You will put in place conditions that **trigger the autonomy and accountability of the team** and maintain a work climate that p**romotes trust and a constructive spirit. **You will develop the needed skills of the team according to new area to be covered, and **encourage behaviors that reflect the company's values**.

You **will be responsible of some EU deliveries,** on behalf of the Product Regulation Director and be a key player **to optimize our way of working to ensure compliance with regional/local regulations.**

Together with the regulation specialists, you will **support public affairs and Volvo Brussel’s **office, at their request, in various forums to promote Volvo's position on legislative/regulatory issues.

**Your future team**
The Product Regulation team is an inclusive team with 6 different nationalities, working on 4 different sites, and connecting with a global network.

**Who are you?**
You have a strong background / experience in the Automotive Regulations area, and the regulation development in EU and in Geneva (UN/WP29). You are familiar with the GSR (General Safety Regulation) and the Framework regulation.

Working in a global environment, you have excellent verbal and written English skills. You have as well negotiation skills and experience of finding compromise (in English). You have good communication skills and an impressive capacity to analyze/summarize texts to focus on key issues
