**LEGAL ADVISOR**
**Based in Sophia-Antipolis, French Riviera**
**MISSION**
The Legal Advisor will manage legal affairs activities across the ETSI Secretariat under the supervision of the Director Legal Affairs and Governance, in collaboration with other Services and Departments within the Secretariat, but also with the members of the association.
The Legal Advisor will have the following key responsibilities:
- Manage Contractual activities and support other Services and departments.
- Contribute to the Management of Statutory Affairs and Governance: participation and preparation of the ETSI General Assembly’s Special IPR (Intellectual Property Rights) Committee, provide legal support to resolve issues and questions related to IPR declarations, participate in updating the ETSI Directives, advise on questions related to them.
- Ensure Compliance: participate in defining, implementing, and evolving ETSI’s compliance policy, make recommendations regarding ETSI's compliance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements, conduct legal and regulatory watch.
- Contribute to Quality and Procedure Definition and promote legal awareness within ETSI.
**PROFILE**
- Master in Business law (a “Diplome de Juriste Conseil en Entreprise” (DJCE) would be a serious advantage) ideally with an IPR specialization
- At least one first successful professional experience, preferably at the international level in technology-driven fields and particularly in telecommunications/IT and preferably standardization
- Very good communication skills and a “hand-on” mentality with abilities in decision making and problem solving are essential
- Results oriented and a strong team player
- Dynamic and self-driven
- Excellent level of English and French, including the ability to write accurately and concisely
The post will be based at our headquarters located in Sophia-Antipolis, a lung of greenery between Cannes and Nice.
