Overview:
Responsible for locating and maintaining the best sources of supply for the components, materials and services required across Morgan Thermal Ceramics - EMEA. Considering all aspects of relationships with suppliers, including quality, value and the ability to respond quickly to changing supply requirements. Select suppliers that can act as long-term partners and help the company meet its growth objectives, and delivering the expected cost reduction of the year.

**Responsibilities**:
**Procurement**
- Ensure materials, products and services are delivered on time to support all locations.
- The procurement of materials & components as required by use of the ERP system
- Negotiation and development of contracts within the purchasing team
- Supplier performance management
- Develop & strengthen relationships with suppliers and internal departments
- Actively participate with Sales and Project and be accountable for purchasing deliveries Person Specification of the Senior Buyer

**Financial Results**
- Build & maintain relationships with key suppliers including contract management and payment terms, to ensure improvements in cost quality and delivery,

**Business Development**
- Act as the procurement lead for new business development with respect to sourcing and negotiating terms for bought-in products and services.
- Coordinate the procurement of all plants and equipment with all stakeholders to maximise cost avoidance and negotiate best value for Thermal Ceramics - EMEA.

Qualifications:

- Experience in indirect/MRO category management
- Strong negotiation skills.
- The ability to communicate articulately and effectively at all levels, both verbally and in writing.
- Strong numerical skills.
- Experience of operating MRP/ERP systems.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office programmes.
- The ability to work to tight deadlines.
- Persuasive
- Self-motivated and energetic.
- Positive attitude.
