**About the Context**:
As part of our team, you will contribute to cutting-edge research in cellular model development. These studies combine AI-driven and mechanistic approaches to design and predict bacterial strain performance with greater precision, pushing the frontiers of biotechnology.
**Your Key Responsibilities**:
- Benchmark existing mechanistic models that simulate cellular transcription, translation, and metabolism.
- Validate these models with experimental data from project partners and the hosting lab.
- **Ph.D. **in **Data Science, Systems Biology, Bioinformatics, Biophysics**, or a related discipline.
- Background in metabolic networks, metabolomics, metabolic flux analysis, or kinetics of transcription/translation is a plus.
- Strong programming skills in **Python**, with experience in testing practices and Git versioning. Familiarity with **continuous integration** practices is beneficial.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, thriving in an interdisciplinary environment.
- Strong analytical mindset with a passion for software development in biotechnology.
