- The TRAME team of the Environmental Chemistry Laboratory focuses its activities on the study of the bio-physico-chemical fate of contaminants (organic, organo-metallic and inorganic), with an emphasis on:
- transformation products and speciation;
- identification of contamination sources (molecular and isotopic approaches) ;
- development of tools and methodologies for the environmental monioring of contaminants in natural and anthropized environments.
To carry out this work, the laboratory boasts a range of high-performance instruments.

L’équipe TRAME, du laboratoire Chimie de l’Environnement porte ses activités sur l’étude du devenir bio-physico-chimique des contaminants (organiques, organo-métalliques et inorganiques) en focalisant les travaux sur
- les produits de transformation et la spéciation ;
- l’identification des sources de ces contaminations (approches moléculaire et isotopiques) ;
- le développement des outils/méthodologies (au laboratoire et in-situ) nécessaires à leur quantification et leur suivi (spatial et/ou temporel) dans les milieux naturels et anthropisés afin d’apporter une contribution majeure et intégrée à la prise en compte des multi-pollutions (effet "cocktail")
Pour mener à bien ces travaux, le laboratoire dispose d’un parc instrumental très performant.

**_Context_**
Endocrine disruptor compounds (EDCs) are present in large number of molecular families, resulting in their presence in a wide variety of everyday products such as personal care products, packaging, toys, etc. Their effects on human health differs from other pollutants, they also produce undesirable effects on non-target species which contribute to the erosion of biodiversity in the environment. They have effects at particularly low concentration levels and produce cocktail effects that cannot be predicted by current models. None of these specificities are considered in water and wastewater regulations, which are limited to maximum concentrations per substance.
There is no official list of EDCs, either at national or European level. The French Ministry of Ecological Transition and the French Ministry of Solidarity and Health have published a National Strategy on Endocrine Disruptors 2019-2022 (SNPE), one of whose objectives is to publish such a list.
The “Métropole Aix-Marseille-Provence”, through the collaboration of Aix-Marseille University laboratories (LCE for chemical analyses and IMBE for toxicity studies), wishes to establish a profile of the EDCs present in wastewater (before and after treatment), using non-targeted analytical approaches. The objectives are to identify EDCs in water and assess the effectiveness of their removal by current wastewater treatment plants.
**_Tasks_**
The main task of the post-doctoral researcher will be to implement analytical tools in order to proceed to non-targeted analyses on the LC-MS-Orbitrap Eclipse instrument operated by IMAGINE² plateform. Under the supervision of the engineer who manages the instrument, he/she will develop analytical methods. Then he/she will set up data analysis tools, and will be a driving force in those aspects. He/she will create a local database on EDCs
**_Contexte_**
Les perturbateurs endocriniens (PE) sont présents dans toutes les familles de molécules et se retrouvent par conséquent dans une grande diversité de produits du quotidien comme les produits d’hygiène corporelle, les emballages, les jouetsIls se comportent différemment des autres polluants quant à leurs effets sur la santé humaine. Les PE ont aussi des effets indésirables sur les espèces non-cibles et contribuent à l'érosion de la biodiversité dans les milieux. Ils peuvent avoir des effets à des concentrations particulièrement faibles et produire des effets cocktail qu’aucun modèle actuel n’est capable de prédire. Aucune de ces spécificités n’est prise en compte dans les réglementations de l’eau et de l’assainissement qui se limitent à des concentrations maximales par substance.
Actuellement il n’existe aucune liste officielle des PE, au niveau national ou européen. Le Ministère de la Transition Ecologique et le Ministère des Solidarités et de la Santé ont publié une Stratégie Nationale sur les Perturbateurs Endocriniens 2019-2022 (SNPE) dont l’un des objectifs concerne la publication d’une telle liste.
Tous ces éléments font de la problématique des PE dans l’eau un sujet qui ne peut pas être étudié comme une exposition à une pollution quelconque.
