**About this role**:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Equity Distribution Specialist (also known internally as a Lead Securities Sales Trading Specialist) in Paris.
The WFSE equity group in Paris distribute WFS equity service products into EEA based institutional investors. These services are largely centred around equity research distribution/access and equity trading execution services by WFSE. The team's footprint with key clients in these product channels has been growing rapidly, and to facilitate further growth we are creating a new client facing distribution role with responsibility for driving client success across product channels.
The successful applicant will be given a role that will offer significant direct exposure to top tier EEA based institutional investors, the WF suite of equity trading and research/access products, the WF equity capital markets distribution process and the ability to learn about the workings of the US equity markets.
This exciting opportunity will be best suited to a highly energised and self-motivated individual who relishes the challenge and embedded potential in driving growth of an established product suite into a geographic area that is relatively new for the firm. Creativity in terms of utilising WF products most effectively toward establishing relevance with clients in highly competitive and mature product areas is an essential element of this role. The ability to work well in a close-knit team environment with highly time sensitized deadlines and risk management inputs will also be essential required strengths.
**In this role, you will**:
- Be a vital part of the developing WF EMEA equity distribution team.
- Manage, process and distribute incoming US equity trading flow for EEA based institutional investors.
- Be a conduit between EEA based investors and NY based WFS equity trading partners.
- Deliver information and engagement services into client traders to help drive incremental US equity trading flow.
- Service portfolio managers and analysts with provision of WF equity research/access resources, to help drive engagement and consumption of WF products.
- Support existing execution and research sales staff with their day-to-day client facing and regulatory duties.
- Engage existing and prospective institutional clients virtually and in person to help drive engagement and incremental growth.
- Concierge WF research analysts on EMEA based client roadshows as part of WFSE research distribution services
- Manage the distribution of WF equity capital markets (ECM) product into EEA.
- Perform all the appropriate and expected risk and control based functions of a client facing WF professional providing the above client services in this registered role in adherence to relevant regulatory requirements.
**Required Qualifications**:
- Experience in Securities Sales Trading, or equivalent demonstrated through a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
**Desired Qualifications**:
- Highly self-motivated in general and enthusiastic/energised around providing client service solutions.
- Very flexible on work hours. The trading element of the role will frequently require working until 10.30pm local time.
- Comfortable with frequent business travel. The research distribution element of the role will require research analyst roadshow.
- Very organised and data centric. Success in the client acquisition element of this role will require prospect clients to be analysed for suitability and likely product areas of WF relevance.
- Diverse roster of language skills would be a positive given the diversity of regions covered by WFSE team.
- Precise and compact communication skills are a necessity. This is relevant for both voice and electronic communication channels.
**Job Expectations**:
- This position is deemed to be an AMF-licensed function ("Négociateur en Instruments Financiers") and requires the position holder to remain fit and proper at all times to perform the role. This will be assessed on at least an annual basis.
