Reporting to the LCH SA COO Operations, the Analysis & Control Manager is accountable for running the day-to-day Analysis and Control activities, supporting the COO Operations on Resilience, Operations department budget and delivering projects undertaken for LCH SA.
In particular- To manage a team of 4 employees.- To work Closely with the COO Operations on Resilience topics and Budget processes.- To monitor day-to-day operational systems and processes covering the production and test environments.- To build and maintain relationships with all departments, and vendors to make decisions about operational activities.- To deliver Accounting & Control projects articulated around business growth, markets infrastructure and resilience.- To uphold organisation policies and standards, ensuring legislative regulations are followed.- Supports the business's strategic planning process, developing metrics for capturing, analysing, and reporting effectiveness
Key Responsabilities:
Operational responsibilities:
- To have the responsibility for the day-to-day Analysis and Control operations across a large range of products and markets (Equities, warrants, derivatives products, credit default swaps and fixed income):
- Control the completeness of the financial flows for Clearing, Settlement activities.
- Perform the second level controls for all Operations (RepoClear, EquityClear, CDSClear, Treasury and CalM activities). To develop and maintain a strong operational control environment, performing daily, weekly and ad-hoc controls and ensuring timely resolution and/or remediation of exceptions and issues.
- To be the accounting experts for Operations and the main point of contact for Finance department
- Produce and control Regulatory Reporting impacting the Operations department
- Produce Metrics for the Operational risk monitoring.
- To work with IT department in agreeing targets for minimum service interruptions and incidents and tracking and reporting of these as well as identifying remedial actions
- To strengthen the partnership and alignment with the different business lines of LCH SA, in order to ensure the delivery of reliable and resilient production service.
- To understand the legal, regulatory, information security and compliance requirements. Establish and implement departmental policies, goals, objectives, and procedures. Follow up and implementation of audit recommendations (operational risk control & compliance)
- To support the SA COO Operations with the strategic direction of LCH
Management responsibilities:
- Implement and maintain Capacity plan and KPIs for the Analysis &Control team. Work with COO Operations to ensure the Operations department is in line with the Budget (OPEX & CAPEX, Operations staff plan, Budget management and control).
- Support the COO Operations department to strengthen partnership and alignment with all internal departments, in order to ensure the delivery of reliable, resilient production service and business development roadmap.
- Support team members in their Growth/Personal development. Encourage courses and trainings for helping people to grow. Instigate the culture of accountability and accuracy.
- To build, motivate and retain the talents providing leadership, prioritisation and direction, ensuring a seamless support of the service and developing our resources depth and expertise.
- To represent the Operations Department with internal stakeholders and auditors
Service delivery:
- To support the projects and operations activities by close coordination with IT teams
- To ensure that adequate challenge and hurdles in place for final stages of project delivery into production - Preparation of the launch strategy
- To ensure ongoing programme to improve STP and remove manual operational steps prone to manual error.
- To review the functional business requirements and specifications before developing new services
- To manage the testing activities (members tests and releases) covering planning, tests cases, run and follow-up.
- To ensure that all business requirements are clear, and that testing is carried out in a comprehensive manner.
