The job is proposed in the Process center inside the Measurement, Control and Data sciences cluster. This cluster of about 40 persons is working in the transversal process field and also in a transversal technical scope. The main task is to develop and to offer to our plant advanced innovative solutions in the different processes. Mechatronics, instrumentation and embedded solutions are a very important domains, strongly linked with our developement and technical assistance for industry 4.0

The research engineer will be involved in several research activities in which he/she will have the responsibility to:

- Develop and prototype state of the art mechanisms, software and solutions for smart and wirless sensors for process
- Conceptualize, model and drive the build and test of prototypes of novel electromechanical systems and embeeded solutions.
- Experience with LabVIEW systems
- Experience in a programming language such as C++ (or C), MATLAB, Python will be a plus.
- Experience with rapid prototyping tools and methods.

**Job requirements**:

- Master or PhD in relevant discipline (mechatronics engineering, microsystems engineering, electrical engineering, robotics and others).
- Good background in the measurement domain (large scope of physics), in instrumentation, good ability to work in a team, to be able to run laboratory experiments as well as trials in industrial plant context
- Advanced French level

The role is within the Process center inside the Measurement, Control and Data sciences cluster. This cluster and the section are working in the transversal processes and technical scope. The main task is to develop and to offer to our plants advanced innovative solutions in the different processes. Advanced Instrumentation, innovative sensors technology and embedded solutions are very important domains, strongly linked with our development for process Digitalization.

**Your role**

The Research Engineer will handle the design, development and integration of physical measurement and smart sensors for process monitoring and digitalization.
- selection of the adapted measurement technologies,
- selection of the required communication protocol,
- development of the solution in the lab,
- integration of the solution on the plant.

**Your profile**
- Master or PhD in relevant discipline (physics engineering, instrumentation, electrical engineering...)
- Good background in the measurement domain (large scope of physics), in instrumentation, good ability to work in a team, to be able to run laboratory experiments as well as trials in industrial plant context
- Advanced in French & English

Knowledge on the following items is required:

- Physical measurements
- New sensors technologies
- LabVIEW systems
- Wireless technology
- Experience in a programming language such as C++ (or C), Python will be a plus.
