Do you have a scientific qualification and experience of handling and inputting scientific data? Are you meticulous in your

approach, with an eye for detail and the ability to enter large volumes of complex data into the system accurately and in a timely

manner? Can you also analyse complex information and use your problem-solving skills to identify appropriate solutions to

ensure the integrity of the database? If so, our Reference Standards & Logistics Department is looking for someone just like

you to help manage our master data in SAP.

The European Directorate for the Quality of Medicines & HealthCare (EDQM) is a leading organisation whose mission is to

across the globe in the human and animal health sectors. The EDQM also plays a crucial role in the areas of blood transfusion,

organ, tissue and cell transplantation and in developing and setting consumer health standards, such as for cosmetics and food

contact materials.

**Your role**

As a Scientific Support Assistant, you will:
ensure the relevance and accuracy of scientific master data concerning “materials”, “items” and “batches” for samples
and reference standards, consumables and publications in SAP and other internal systems;
ensure data consistency and harmonisation within SAP and across different systems through regular analysis and
cleaning operations to eliminate inconsistencies or inaccuracies in data resulting from migration, etc;
work with colleagues to identify data optimisation issues and solutions that improve the quality of the scientific data in our
databases, including:

- updating the team’s shared operating manual; and;
- supporting the testing of new/updated SAP functionalities;
support and work closely with other EDQM teams on all issues related to the data;
process internal requests for the distribution of samples and reference standards in the SAP system, including checking
requests for accuracy and completeness.

**What we are looking for**

You must:
have completed a full course of general secondary education and hold appropriate professional qualifications in
have at least 6 months’ professional experience in a role where you had to handle complex and large volumes of
scientific data in an IT system, supported the integration and/or transfer of complex scientific data between IT systems,
drafted safety data sheets (or similar);
have a very good knowledge of one of the
