China Construction Bank is looking for a Risk Officer for a fixed-term contract, to start as soon as possible.
**General Description**:
Risk Management Department plays 2nd line of defense within CCB Paris. Risk Officer performs risk identification, assessment, monitoring and control. She/he also reports risks to different stakeholders This is to mitigate controllable risks, prevent and minimize bank exposures through preventative actions.
**Main Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Assist Head of Risk to implement overall risk management framework within CCB Paris
- Perform credit risk review on credit proposals, reviews and disbursement requests submitted by the originating departments in a thorough and timely manner to ensure the credit quality is acceptable to the Bank.
- Perform regular Anacredit regulatory reporting
- Follow up the loan provision under the IFRS9 impairment rules
- Perform sectors/country risk research and relevant reports by monitor risk factors, including but not limited to economic and industry conditions and development that would have notable impact on the bank’s credit portfolio and provide alerts to the business managers and senior management when deemed necessary.
- Conduct Operational Risk Incident Report, maintain the operational risk database and participate to annual Risk and Control Self-Assessment
- Maintain and update Risk Management relevant procedures when necessary.
- Provide support to the Risk Management and Compliance Committee and Credit Committee.
- Develop, implement and maintain a strong management information system for monitoring and reporting credit risks, including records of credit proposals and transactions requests from business units.
- Prepare reports for the senior management and Head Office as well as ad hoc reports as required by management and Head Office in a timely manner.
- Other matters as assigned by the Head or Deputy Head of Risk Management as well as the senior management of the Branch.
**Qualifications**:
- At least Master’s degree in Finance & Banking or related specialization
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar position gained in a financial institution, ideally from a banking environment with a good knowledge of risk management concepts
- Sound knowledge of credit risk analysis and accounting practices in the banking sector
- Basic knowledge of the European and French regulations on risk management and understanding of bank organization
- Analysis skills, oral and written communication skills, organization and prioritizing skills
- Fluent written and spoken English and French, Mandarin could be an asset but not mandatory
- Team player
- CFA, FRM and/or CPA qualification could be an asset
