Sales Manager

The Sales Manager ensures the growth and competitiveness of the hotel's sales department.

What will I do?
As a Sales Manager, you will work closely with the property's Sales Manager to meet operational needs and expand existing business through promotional efforts and sales channels.

A Sales Manager will work to develop sales and build a successful sales team. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks:

- Manage the outside sales team.
- Manage the hotel's sales team plans to ensure they correctly interpret and support the company's goals and use these plans to focus sales efforts across all market segments.
- Develop the sales team through leadership and example to drive sales development; participate in the hiring of team members and their future success.
- Set up and monitor offers, options and discounts for repeat bookings for groups, conferences and seminars in close collaboration with the Sales Director and the Groups, Conferences and Events Manager.
- Prepare corporate contracts for the hotel in accordance with the commercial and pricing conditions.
- Management of a strategic market for the hotel focused on MICE clients, currently USA and Latin America which may also change.
- Regular travels for prospecting and loyalty building.
- Participation in the hotel's events to thank, develop loyalty and prospect the clientele.
- Compile and/or lead the preparation of reports related to the operation of the sales department to include, but not limited to, annual and monthly forecasts, lead management system and booking reports.
- Actively participate in and complete the preparation of the annual sales plan, quarterly updates and annual facility budgets. Execute outlined initiatives quickly implement strategies/tactics to offset changes in markets, economy or driven by competition. Organize and/or attend group and similar meetings.
- Produce accurate reports that meet the needs of the hotel and the management company.
- Prepare and present, on a monthly basis, the sales team's input, direction and activity proactively to the Sales Manager and participate in various meetings with the hotel's senior management as well as the owners.
- Manage the Sales Incentive Plan for the outside sales team.
- Cooperate with the other departments of the hotel, especially with the Groups Meetings & Events, Reservations and Banquets department, in order to ensure that the sales team has the best possible support.
- Significant experience of at least 1 year
- Training Bac +3 Bac+4/5
- Hotel or tourism training
- Fluent English is a must
- OnQPM, Delphi, OnQR&I; (not mandatory but appreciated)
- Microsoft Outlook, Pack Office
- Good organizational and administrative skills
- Commitment to providing a high level of customer service
- Positive attitude and good communication skills
- Confidence and fluency on the phone
- Very good presentation
- Smiling, diplomatic, organized, personable
