**Key accountabilities**:
In terms of expertise and responsibilities, the position covers the support towards guidance on E&C matters & implementation of the compliance program of the company at cluster level in AMECA Region in the following main areas:
- Assist RCO and VP Legal & Compliance to support the business goals by providing compliance related advises and flag possible E&C risks in order to ensure full compliance with Alstom Integrity Program and applicable laws
- Support RCO and VP Legal to implement and deploy Integrity Program (Code of Ethics, Alstom instructions and policies,.) and support implementation of E&C processes
- Involvement in communication of E&C messages in all levels of the region organization
- Prepare/draft customize E&C material to support Tone from Top
- Perform trainings for various audiences and develop /draft training/awareness material &
- Support the ISO certification efforts of the company; and any audits carried out
- Support and perform the Compliance Processes including perform all Due Diligence activities
- Perform general & internet searches necessary within Due Diligence activities and country E&C risks assessment
- Support to E&C Litigation and Investigations / Compliance Program Enforcement & Discipline
- Promote the Alstom Code of Ethics & highest standards of ethical conduct
- Perform and close action plans covering above missions
Besides the above, you provide guidance to the community of the “E&C Ambassadors” located in your region and you help boost the enlargement of such community in order to foster E&C awareness in the region. This will include monitoring E&C Ambassadors activities and updates.
**Performance measurements**:
Objectives, targets, and performance measurements are defined on a yearly basis in line with the company’s financial targets, the Chief Compliance Officer objectives for the E&C community and the General Counsel objectives for the Legal, Compliance and Contract Management Function.
**Requirements**:
- Graduate Law degree or equivalent and/or a degree in a related field well-suited for E&C matters (e.g. forensic investigations, audit).
- Given the strong interaction between E&C matters and legal matters, as well as the required involvement in E&C judicial proceedings and litigation, a Bar membership certification and/or some general awareness of criminal law and criminal proceedings is a plus for this position.
- Also, in view of the international nature of the company’s activities, previous positions in an international business environment would be a good supplement
- 5 years+ of experience in a professional field in law field
- Solid experience in legal and regulatory matters,
- Similar experience in an international business
- Excellent English language and drafting skills.
- Competent in Word, Power Point, Excel and other IS/IT communication tools
