To lead the Compliance team to ensure that all managed yachts are manned and operated in accordance with International, Flag and Port State Law and also in accordance with the written ISM policies of HR and the Ship Security Plan. Monitoring the teams work load and priorities. Reporting to the DPA as deputy DPA and acting as CSO.

**Responsibilities**
**Surveys and audits**
- Liaising with vessels to organise internal and external audits and surveys. Organise and lead the office DOC audits.
- Liaise with the relevant HR Departments to ensure that the necessary surveys, regular internal audits and
inspections are carried out in good time and to ensure all vessels always remain in Class (if applicable) and
meet the requirement of the Large Commercial Yacht or Passenger Yacht Codes in addition to all other
statutory and local national requirements, as may be applicable.
- Carry out internal audits.

**Review and Develop the Safety Management System**
- Continually review the Hill Robinson SMS (Safety Management System), procedures, reporting any Non
- Conformities to the DPA for a considered corrective action plan.
- Implement innovative ways to improve the system, communications and reporting from the yachts.
- Organise and implement ship to shore Safety and Security drills, exercises and training in accordance with Flag
State requirements in accordance with the Safety Management System.
- Ensure that the yachts properly exercise and drill for all emergency response scenarios.
- Facilitate technical and yacht managers’ understanding of their personal responsibilities in an emergency
situation according to Emergency Response Plan, emergency procedures and drills & exercises
- Ensure crew of assigned yachts are properly trained in their onboard SMS and the ISM policies of HR.
- Review and respond to the monthly Safety Committee Meeting Minutes from the yachts assigned to you

**Administer Manuals, Regulatory Information and Notices**
- Formatting and issuing of yacht manuals after DPA review and approval.
- Collating and summarising regulatory information received from various sources for distribution to the Fleet as Fleet Notices.
- Reporting of incidents to Class and Flag as instructed by DPA and follow-up.
- To carry out regular reviews of reports, documents and certification to ensure that the yachts are properly
manned with healthy and competent crew; crew files are kept up to date and records of yacht certificates
and lifesaving equipment are kept up to date
- Ensure that monthly reports and incident reports are received and filed, and all safety issues closed in a timely manner
- Ensure that the SSA and SSP are completed as per regulations
- Proactively identifying and implementing new procedures/ policies/ plans

**Provide HRclick Support**
- Handle HRclick administrative tasks
- HRclick app support and training for office staff and crew.
- Leading the HRclick Steering Committee to continuously improve the system

**Leading the team**
- Organise regular meetings with the team to discuss priorities, workload, highs and lows.
- Identify training requirements, internally and externally.
- Being available to the team and other teams to guide and assist with ensuring fleet compliance
- Schedule office safety meetings and management reviews and ensure action is followed up on.

**Skills Required**:

- Excellent communications skills and the ability to liaise in a professional manner with Clients, suppliers, colleagues and other contacts as may be required.
- Bilingual (English/French)
- Organised, ability to prioritise, flexible, attentive to details
- Proficient in Word and Excel, and “tech-savvy”
