Lead Simulator Engineer

**Context**:
Nissan has an international working environment with people from across the globe. Ahead of the 2018/19 season, Nissan became the first Japanese manufacturer to enter the serie of Formula E.
You will be attached to Nissan Formula E Team, a subsidiary of Nissan. Formula E is a single-seater motorsport championship for electric cars. Nissan Formula E Team is a race team that competes in the all-electric ABB FIA Formula E World Championship.

The position is based in France, in Viry-Chatillon.
**Responsibilities**:
To reinforce our group, we are looking for a Lead Simulator Engineer to contribute to the team's development.
**Main tasks**:
- Management and planning of the Simulator activities
- Lead the running and development of the simulator
- Communicating with the suppliers (hardware, software)
- Car models development, including systems and tyre models
- Management and coordination of the simulator activities
- Maximize the performance and correlation with the race car
- Guide the longer-term development and direction of the DIL
- Work in conjunction with Performance, Control, and Strategy Engineers to identify the main areas of improvement (race event preparation, specific features development)
- Contribute to the development of new tools and models
**Profile**:
- Engineering degree
- Extra motorsport degree preferred
- Ability to work effectively and under pressure and to manage time under tight and rigid deadlines
- Attention to detail
- Experience in running a DIL simulator
- Comfortable with MS Office, Matlab/Simulink, VBA and/or other mathematical software
- Fluent in English.
This role includes work on weekends and outside of office hours, due to the nature of the business.
