Component Engineer

Our Component Team, based in Voisins-le-Bretonneux, is currently looking for a Component Engineer.

The Component Engineer guarantees, under guidance of the concerned component lead engineer, the development of components in line with project & customer milestones through contribution of technical expertise and coordination of the component development & qualification activities running in the different involved entities (YZK internal, supplier, customer).

The Component Engineer:

- Guarantees optimal component design following customer specification and WH plant constraints in coorperation with the different involved YZK departments and the component supplier, in line with project planning
- Participates to meetings with component suppliers if needed
- Participates to customer project meetings on linked parts
- In case of part modification evaluates the impact on the tooling and alerts customer in case of need.
- Gives timely feedback to the involved departments of customer feedback (mountability issues, ECN.)
- Ensures internal YZK technical review meetings and follow up with YAZAKI plants take place (YZK part specification review, DFM, design reviews..) - formalisation through MoM
- Aligns with WH eng team and plant on PN numbers, component modifications and WH integration.
- Ensures component documentation for all project phases, RFQ, prototype built phases (tracks component technical content with corresponding PN, supplier offer and sales offer during development ), component qualification - CAEI obtention
- Built and tracks detailed development and / or validation planning for each part (all steps from start of development till part qualification)
- Escalates planning & eco risks and blocking points towards lead engineer and if needed to PM and customer
- Prepares the reporting for the components under his / her responsability for the DE FR of the relevant projects and participates to the DE FR in case of need.
- Manages the component prototypes - ensures proto availability for the engineering teams, validation tests (e.g dynamic loop tests)
