**Job responsibilities**
- As scientist, be referent for drug metabolite identification in bioanalysis domain, develops approaches to identify drug metabolites in biological matrix
- Use of chromatographic separation techniques coupled to high resolution mass spectrometry and data analysis/interpretation software to identify (structural elucidation) drug metabolites in complex mixture
- Execute LC-MS methods to characterize small molecules and peptides (metabolite profiling, structure elucidation and understanding of small molecule therapeutics) to support our client project from research to clinical studies
- Ensure high quality reports are delivered to the client in due time and within the budget limits
- Propose measures aiming at optimizing activities and/or shortening timelines.
- Write, edit, and review bioanalytical documentation (protocols, slides)
- Discuss new project opportunities in order to develop optimal project designs in cooperation with Team Manager, Project Leader.
- Communicate results and observations to Team Manager, Project Leader, and Client (when appropriate) on a regular basis.
- Contribute to represent Bioanalytical Sciences externally.

**What we’re looking for**
- Master degree or PhD in life sciences or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Experience in biological sample treatment (extraction techniques: SPE, LLE ).
- Experience with drug metabolite identification by HR- MS (High Resolution Mass Spectrometry)
- Experience in structural elucidation by mass spectrometry
- Understanding of drug metabolism in clinical research
- Work in a cGLP/GLP environment
- Expertise in relevant analytical software.
- Excellent communication skills, in writing and oral.
- Very good communication skills in English.
- Strong personal commitment and high sense of urgency in a quickly changing environment.
- Excellent organizational skills and a detail-oriented approach to the execution of experiments and record keeping is a requirement.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with peers and management, both internally and externally is required.
