**Context**:
The objective of this project is to develop these promising simple, cheap and flexible light sources. Despite extensive efforts, a breakthrough has not been made. One major limitation is to reach high enough current density to pass laser threshold in diode configuration except for the operation in pulsed mode7. Another limitation of diode structure is that light quenching by the electrode can be rather significant8.
