**The role**

We are looking for an enthusiastic **Power Unit System Engineer **working alongside our Electronic Integration & Validation Department.

This position would suit an Experienced Engineer looking to contribute to F1.

In this role you will be responsible for guarantees the integrity of the calibration of the systems.

**Responsibilities will also involve**:

- Performing tests, develops and validates new electronics.
- Tracking and analysing data concerning the Low Voltage and ERS system perimeter.
- Investigating incidents related to the Electronic Integration and Validation activity; processing and/or reporting to experts and Reliability Department.
- Writing or participating in the writing of various event reports (Laboratory, Dyno and Track)
- Preparing and configuring the system in agreement with the PU engineer for each test or event (including TAG, PSU, CUs, ES) for the laboratory and dyno.
- Ensuring the proper functioning of the electronic and electrical system of the PU.

**The person**

**Must-haves**:

- Generalist or Electricity/Electronics Engineering training with experience operating an F1 Power Unit.
- Good knowledge of hybrid PU control principles (ICE, BT, ERS)
- Significant experience in the integration, validation and operation of electrical / electronic systems on PU.
- Solid background in HIL bench and PU test bench is strongly desired.
- Strong technical background in Matlab Simulink code and MAT tools (System Monitor, Atlas).
- Creating a positive profile for themselves and the department.
- Ability to set priorities, take initiatives and demonstrate proactivity
- Flexibility in hours.

**Nice to have**:

- French speaking skills appreciated or willing to learn.
- Knowledge of McLaren Tools
