The Digital Media Officer will be a key part of the transformational digital marketing journey, with the aim to further fuel Royal Canin’s year-on-year growth by even more robustly serving cats and dogs via their owners and prescribers.
Reporting to the Global Media Manager, the Global Digital Media Officer will be in charge to manage the definition of Earned and Owned Media strategy. This is a fundamental role within the Brand Experience and Media team.
The Earned and Owned media includes a full eco-system across animation of the markets, roll out, asset management in collaboration with the Content, Brand Com, POX, Corporate teams and reports and media performance analytics.
**What are we looking for ?**
- Master degree in business schools or equivalent digital education
- 5 years minimum experience with significant experience in digital marketing, e-commerce, media. Media experience preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in complex project leadership, project management
- Experience working with external agencies/partners
- Demonstrated experience partnering with digital functional IT teams/partners
- An experience in start-up business / digital transformation is welcome
- Passion for cats and dogs would be ideal
- Fluent English required. French additionally would be nice, but not required.
**What would be your responsibilities ?**
**EARNED MEDIA DEFINITION**
- Define, with Global Media Manager, Royal Canin Earned media strategy: social platforms and influencers
- Successfully implement Earned media strategy in collaboration with Global Media Manager
- Own and manage Earned Media roll out.
- Ensure ongoing Communication approach - outward (updates and guidance), inward (collecting needs)
- Work in close collaboration with the Agencies (Creative, Media)
- Governance approach -global (with Corporate Affairs) and local teams
- Follow-through (KPI performance metrics, follow-through evaluation of earned media)
- Drive broad adoption, understanding and advocacy of the strategy across the organization.
- Evolve strategy based on in-practice learnings.
**OWNED MEDIA (SEO)**
- Define, with Global Media Manager, Royal Canin Owned media strategy: SEO (website and YouTube)
- Successfully implement SEO strategy; Own and manage SEO roll out with SEO Agency
- Ensure ongoing Communication approach - outward (updates and guidance), inward (collecting needs)
- Work in close collaboration with the Agencies (Content, Media, SEO, Technical)
- Governance approach -Agencies (Content, SEO agencies), Royal Canin global (with Content, Marketing and Brand teams) and local teams
- Follow-through (KPI performance metrics, follow-through evaluation of SEO results)
- Drive broad adoption, understanding and advocacy of the strategy across the organization.
- Evolve strategy based on in-practice learnings
**MEASUREMENTS AND REPORTS**:
- Responsible of the measurement of Royal Canin’s media campaigns dashboard
- Drive ongoing reporting and insights across media investments and campaign performance.
- Maintain performance trackers showcasing results & key performance indicators for digital media campaigns
- Create and publish media scorecard.
- Compile post campaigns analysis and build global results presentation of Brand campaign
- Collaborate with Global Media manager on content for educating associates on the role of media platforms, best practices, and past performance analytics.
**MEDIA COMMUNITY AND SHARE & LEARNS**
- Provide visibility of media planning activations in all markets
- Follow the deployment of the annual media learning agenda and ensure the sharing of measurement and benchmark success.
- Create, deploy and animate a share environment tool to store all media documents between Royal Canin associates and Mediacom teams (Global and local): Post campaigns analysis, Share & learn sessions, Median plans, presentations
- Animate media community. Monthly calls by region with markets
- Help creation of post campaigns analysis sessions by region
- Ensure markets always have visibility into global assets, formats and timing for their local activations
- Facilitate the escalation of wow, issue, learnings
- Continuous improvements: Collect needs from markets in order to ensure collaboration with local media to support and facilitate local initiatives through innovation projects (eretailers, SIS, native, partnership, link building )
