The Transaction Risk Manager role is part of Global Trade & Receivables Finance (GTRF) / Transaction Risk Management (TRM), based in France, Paris.
Global Trade and Receivables Finance comprises over 4,500 people across more than 60 countries, helping suppliers and buyers with their export and import finance needs.
The Transaction Risk Management team is responsible for the effective identification, assessment, ongoing management, monitoring and mitigation of transaction risk for Commercial clients. This job is responsible for managing the overall risk within the Receivable Finance portfolio including but not limited to credit, operational, collateral and fraud.
**Job Profile**
In this role, you will:
- Monitor portfolio trends including sectors, positions of concern, delinquent positions and non-recourse structures, ensuring within risk appetite and taking appropriate action to mitigate loss;
- Perform RF Statistical Controls and Portfolio Analysis including reviewing information at individual seller and portfolio level to identify anomalies and trend;
- Perform RF Periodic review focusing on certain sellers, receivables trends, outstanding actions and discussing associated risks and creating actions or documenting acceptance of a position;
- Produce portfolio risk reportings, participate in the preparation of the decks for RF and GTRF risk meetings and reports for ACPR;
- Manage underwriting of new and renewal credit opportunities including developing appropriate recommendation for wholesale credit and market risk;
- Maintain the RF WWM list with actions documented and followed up and review of Line of Business/WCMR WWM list for GTRF clients
- Participate in various cross functional-projects of the Bank in line with TRM risk monitoring function (New DOD, GTRF Capital models, Centralised Booking projects )
- Work closely with GTRF Client Management and Sales teams in France and in Continental Europe.
- Communicate and adhere to HSBC policy and procedures in order to ensure good operational, financial and project management, policy and procedural compliance and early identification and effective resolution or escalation of issues that arise and taking required action in relation to points raised by audit and/or external regulators
- Build good relationships with internal and external stakeholders, specifically WCMR
- Encourage and enable constructive cross-country and cross-business teamwork by demonstrating collaboration and matrix management in action
- Contribute to team development, effectiveness and success by sharing knowledge and good practice, working collaboratively with others to create a productive, diverse and supportive working environment.
Requirements
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
- Receivables Finance experience
- Relationship Management and/or Risk experience
- Ability to understand and interpret financial information/analysis
- A comprehensive understanding of the regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Good team working
- Proven skills in time and task management.
- A high standard of IT skills to extract & analyse data from various systems including Microsoft Products including Excel / Word / PowerPoint etc.
- Fluent in both spoken and written French and English languages
