Job Summary
In this role, you will work as a member of the management team of the Paris & Continental Europe (CE) Compliance Department, to manage the TP ICAP (Europe) SA (TPIE) Financial Crime program and act as TPIE Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO). To act as the as TRACFIN Primary correspondent including all the legal and regulatory requirements of this role. This role will provide support to the EMEA Head of Financial Crime to ensure effective implementation of the TPIE financial crime systems and controls framework including ABC/AML/KYC/CFT and Sanctions. To assist in general compliance tasks as determined from time to time.
**Responsibilities**:
- The MLRO must receive and consider internal disclosures of suspected money laundering or terrorist financing;
- Decide whether there are sufficient grounds for suspicion to pass the disclosures to the regulators;
- Assume responsibility for filing a Suspicious Activity Report (SAR) with regulators where the grounds for suspicion are sufficient;
- Advise and guard against tipping-off or prejudicing an investigation once an SAR has been made;
- Liaise with regulators to deal with such matters as consent to proceed with a transaction and other disclosure issues, particularly with regards to clients or third parties;
- Respond to requests for AML/KYC information from the regulators and ensure ACPR AML Questionnaire and Annual report are submitted accurately and on-time;
- Manage the escalation of AML/KYC issues from Client on Boarding and other areas of the business;
- Ensure the AML/KYC Due Diligence and on-going monitoring processes are comprehensive and consistently robust to meet the legal and regulatory requirements;
- Develop, implement and maintain AML and Sanctions Policies and procedures which adequately reflect both the regulatory requirements and the firm’s strategy.
- Manage the anti-money laundering and sanctions framework including procedures and policies including customer due diligence measures, reporting, record-keeping, risk assessment, monitoring and control systems;
- Ensure appropriate levels of AML/KYC awareness and training;
- Ensure the firm responds correctly to all relevant sanction requirements;
- Provide a sufficiently comprehensive MLRO report and regular Management Information to the relevant management teams; Financial Crime
- Administer the day to day Anti Financial Crime function within the Paris Office
- Contribute to new business initiatives as required;
- Ensure the firm’s policies and procedures are enforced and ensure relevant regulatory filings or reports are made as and when required;
- Identify and assess potential areas of risk/breaches and impact of legal and regulatory developments and develop pragmatic compliance solutions while balancing business objectives;
- Remediate all financial crime audit findings;
- Ensure appropriate and relevant Management Information is produced as required;
- Complete Financial Crime Risk assessments;
- Ensure the firm receives sufficient Financial Crime Training;
- Oversee financial crime regulatory horizon scanning and any required changes and processes
