**About the Role**

As a business-focused Breaking News Correspondent you will:

- Write the most important corporate news stories of the day of the day in French
- Deliver fast and insightful copy for a French-language audience of both financial professionals and a non-expert audience
- Deliver fast contextual stories (Explainers, Factboxes, Quotes)
- Help drive reporting when corporate news breaks
- Build key relationships across Paris to establish yourself as a go-to person for companies and public relations agencies
- Work as a central contact point between various teams in the newsroom to make sure we are covering the right stories and identifying cross-sector themes that add value to Reuters’ file of company news coverage

**About Y**ou**

You’re a fit for the role of business-focused Breaking News Correspondent if you have:

- At least 5 years** **of experience as a business reporter, ideally in a real-time news organization
- A solid knowledge of corporate news coverage
- An ability to cultivate sources and relationships inside and outside the newsroom
- Strong news judgment and a commitment to accuracy
- An ability to work collaboratively
- A willingness to learn and an ambition to build skills and take on greater challenges
- Fluent written and spoken French, a good command of English
- Resilience in high-pressure situations
