**Description du poste**
Reviews lead information and completes background research in conjunction with sales colleagues to prepare for Discovery calls with customers
Provides technical expertise to sales colleagues in sales conversations to help develop system functionality that meets customer requirements
Attends Discovery calls as support to the sales colleague. Asks questions to develop an understanding of business needs that can be addressed through specific features of the available software/products
Reviews outputs of Discovery calls with sales colleagues to establish if leads should progress to the next stage of the sales process
Uses the information gathered in Discovery call conversations to develop bespoke product demonstrations tailored to the customer’s needs for use in Proof of Concept and Product Demonstration meetings
Delivers effective product demonstrations to customers and presents information and system functionality in the context of the customer’s own requirements
Demonstrates curiosity through the use of effective questioning and listening skills to uncover the core needs, pain points and wishes of the customer that will be used to shape the proposition
Applies a robust and methodical approach to capture and record all aspects of the customer’s requirements and ensures that these all track through into the final proposal to be developed
Liaises with teams responsible for building the solution to ensure that the final product is fully aligned to the design specification and customer requirements
Acts as a point of contact between development teams and sales colleagues to plan, negotiate and agree development timescales and resources to be able to deliver the customer solution to the required specification
Makes adjustments and updates to design specifications and delivers follow-up demonstrations where required to help secure the sale
Acts as a point of contact for customers to respond to technical queries that arise during the sales process
Undertakes regular competitor analysis research to keep up-to-date with other products in the marketplace so that they can promote the benefits of Sage products and services in relation to competitor products
**Responsabilités principales**
Responsible for the day-to-day management of a team of Sales Engineers. Builds capability through coaching, feedback and demonstrating best practice in key accounts and complex sales
Supports continuous improvement activity by coordinating feedback from across the team about gaps in the product proposition and changes to customer requirements that will feed into product updates and the ongoing development of the business strategy
Gets personally involved in supporting the sales of key accounts and complex sales where a higher degree of personalisation and tailoring is required
Supports less experienced Sales Engineers by attending meetings and using business acumen to make recommendations about an appropriate course of action where required
Reviews RFPs and business tenders to identify where Sage can provide a suitable solution, compiles a possible approach with costings and submits a response to the customer (may be market specific)
