Pixie is an early‑stage impact startup building a platform to give broken objects a second life through repair and revalorisation. The product combines: a marketplace for broken but repairable objects and spare parts a matching platform connecting users with local repairers, including messaging, payments, reviews, and logistics (send/return repaired items) Pixie has been selected for Start’in ESS, supported by the Ville de Paris, Maison Étudiante and Académie du Climat. This is a co‑founder‑level role for a Founding Engineer / CTO based in Paris, with hybrid or remote work possible. Responsibilities Lead the design and development of the web platform and mobile applications (iOS & Android) Define and own the technical architecture and product roadmap Build the core features: marketplace, user profiles, chat, payments, reviews, repairer feeds Make key technical decisions (stack, scalability, security) Work closely with the founder on product vision, priorities, and strategy ⚠️ This role is not paid at this stage. It is a co‑founder position with equity, with strong potential for future funding if the project progresses well. Qualifications Strong experience in web and/or mobile development (full‑stack, backend or frontend) Experience with mobile applications (iOS and/or Android); mastery of both is a plus, willingness to learn is essential Solid understanding of software architecture and OOP principles Comfortable building end‑to‑end products in early‑stage or fast‑moving environments Able to work autonomously and manage your time and tasks Interested in entrepreneurship and co‑building a startup, not just coding Fluent in English, comfortable in French (or willing to improve) Passionate, curious, ambitious, and motivated by impact Benefits True co‑founder role with equity discussions Access to Start’in ESS workshops, mentoring and network in Paris Opportunity to grow across tech, product, business and strategy Build a meaningful product with social and environmental impact Flexible working conditions (hybrid / remote possible) Applications are strongly encouraged even if you don’t meet every requirement.
