What You’ll Do As part of AcuTech’s European PSM team, you will work directly with our clients on projects spanning all aspects of process safety and risk management. Successful candidates will proactively apply engineering and problem‑solving skills to meet challenging safety and business objectives, while seeking out leadership and growth opportunities. Primary responsibilities include: On‑site process safety engineering work such as facilitating PHAs, LOPAs, conducting incident investigations and PSM audits, delivering PSM training and other process safety management needs. Proactively applying technical expertise and high technical acumen to complex safety projects. Managing multiple work assignments and projects while maintaining independent, organized, and client‑focused work. Iteratively developing and implementing PSM programs, plans, procedures, design philosophies, and operating procedures. Advising management at all levels to effect positive changes toward operational excellence. This position offers an excellent opportunity for personal and professional growth. Position Requirements Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in a related engineering field (chemical, electrical, mechanical, fire protection, safety). Excellent English verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, and client service. Minimum 10+ years of experience in technical process safety across the Hydrogen Fuels, Oil & Gas, or Chemical and Petrochemical industries, including facilitation of multiple PHAs, LOPAs, and audits. Proven ability to influence and lead cross‑functional teams, manage client relationships, develop business, and utilize strong project and people management skills. Strong analytical, problem‑solving, facilitation, and consultative skills supporting customer projects. Experience in developing, implementing, or managing PSM programs, plans, procedures, design bases, and engineering specifications. Experience evaluating and auditing PSM management systems and advising management to achieve operational excellence. Ability to develop proposals, make presentations, and engage in business development activities. Candidate must be based in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, France, or United Kingdom and have ability to work in the European Union and UK. What’s Preferred “Seller Doer” with existing client connections and the ability to generate new business. Fluent (minimum C1 level) in one additional European language (preferably German, French or Dutch). Experience and expertise in PSM technical services such as facilitation of PHAs, HAZID, What-If, HAZOP, FMEA, LOPA, and quantitative risk assessment. Knowledge of European directives relevant to process safety. Experience in Safety Instrumented Systems services, including SIL assessment based on IEC61511. Experience in dust hazard management, evaluating processes for dust fire and explosion risks, and auditing dust hazard management. Experience in reactive chemistry hazard management.
