The team’s multicultural diversity, with over 30 nationalities, enables us to meet global needs effectively.Your RoleArcelorMittal offers high-strength steel products, including the Hot Rolled Armstrong family, designed for exceptional strength, cold formability, and impact toughness, suitable for industries like Yellow & Green Goods and Heavy Transportation.As a key member of the Global R&D Product Development group, you will help shape the future of steel, leading projects, exploring innovative ideas, and translating research into high-performing products.ResponsibilitiesManagement of New Product DevelopmentLead R&D projects in Hot Rolled High Strength Steels for targeted markets.Identify and analyze market needs, translating insights into R&D project proposals aligned with company strategy.Conduct technical and economic analyses to assess value creation.Ensure timely product conception, industrialization, and pilot trials with customers.Prepare for product launch and support ramp-up activities.Coordinate with labs, manufacturing plants, and technical and commercial teams.Support Sales & MarketingProvide technical training and explanations to sales teams.Participate in customer visits, trade fairs, and promotional events.Manage product catalog as an expert.Assist in preparing technical and marketing materials.Monitor and influence standards and regulations related to the product line.Your ProfileMaster’s degree or PhD in Materials Science or related field.Minimum of five years’ experience as a materials engineer in R&D.Expertise in steel processing and metal characterization techniques.Ability to manage multiple projects efficiently.Fluent in English; additional European languages are a plus.Willingness to travel within Europe.Our ValuesCommitment to health and safety.Respect, transparency, honesty, and empathy in relationships.High integrity and ethical behavior.Continuous learning and innovation.Valuing diversity and new ideas.Join us to contribute to renewable energy, major industries, and economic growth.
