These grades are engineered to provide exceptional strength, cold formability, and impact toughness, ideal for challenging applications in various industries such as Yellow & Green Goods and Heavy Transportation. When you join our team, you will become a key contributor to the Global R&D Product Development group, helping shape the future of steel for industry markets. You will lead projects, explore new ideas, and turn advanced research into real, high‑performing products. As Product Development Manager, you will be responsible for Leading R&D projects in Hot Rolled High Strength Steels for Yellow & Green Goods and Heavy Transport markets. Identifying and analyzing market needs and trends, and translating them into new project proposals for the R&D portfolio, aligned with ArcelorMittal strategy. Conducting technical and economic analysis of projects, and assessing value creation. Ensuring product conception is completed on time, following industrialization with pilot plant and trials with pilot customers. Preparing new product launches in collaboration with the Business Units and supporting ramp‑up. Managing interfaces with labs, plants, and technical & commercial organizations. Support Sales & Marketing Teams for Product Promotion Providing technical explanations and training to the commercial team. Participating in customer visits, fairs, and special promotion events. Contributing to the management of the product catalogue as an expert of the product line. Assisting in preparing technical and marketing materials, including brochures, leaflets, and kits. Following and influencing standardization and regulations related to the product line. Your profile Master’s degree or PhD in Materials Science or a related field. At least five years of experience as a materials engineer in an R&D environment. Strong expertise in steel processing and advanced metal characterization techniques. Capacity to manage a diverse portfolio of projects with efficiency and focus. Fluent in English (spoken and written); additional European languages are valued. Open to travel within Europe.
