We have indeed contributed to avoid the production of more than 1,000,000 tons of CO2e worldwide since our launch in 2014.Be part of an exciting and growing international adventure that will change the way the world consumes tech.We are hiring a Senior Product Manager - Circularity with experience 6/8+ years on a B2B or B2B2C product to create the future of Back Market's circularity platform.We provide a platform that enables refurbishers to purchase our customers' old devices or recycle them. This sourcing activity feeds the sales side of Back Market and reinforces our mission as a fully circular platform.By discovering new opportunities and optimizing what we have, you'll be enabling sellers, after-sales agents & staff to smoothly run and grow our trade-in business. You’ll be the squad leader and collaborate with our business teams, engineers, product designers, and researchers. You'll be collaborating with other squads (payment/care/shipping/sellers...) to leverage their respective expertise to enhance the circularity experience.This will require a deep understanding of the refurbished space and our customers & sellers' needs. You will be surrounded by experts who will support you in rethinking the future of the customer experience in our different countries from Europe to the US and APAC.YOUR MISSION (IF YOU ACCEPT IT):
  • You lead your squad’s vision by gathering strategic inputs and insights, synthesizing them into a compelling vision, and embarking everyone with you.
  • You are responsible for defining your Northstar metric and KPIs: it drives the team toward concrete goals and impacts.
  • You build strong roadmaps that embody the company strategy and consider other initiatives in the company.
  • You are the entry point for all stakeholders to understand the short and long-term priorities, and you liaise with them to ensure your product fits perfectly into the Back Market experience (Services teams, Money journey teams, Operations with Logistics, Circularity, and Care teams, Legal, etc.).
  • You are in charge of defining the most impactful iteration: you approach it methodically, balancing data centricity and emotional bonds that are at the heart of loved products.
  • You can translate data into actionable insights.
  • You communicate clearly and regularly on the risks and impacts of your roadmap and features: you know how to anticipate problems and dependencies to ensure a smooth delivery.
  • The product management skills have no secret for you: you master the discovery steps (link with research, design, data), as well as delivery (testing and QA are part of the game).
  • You are the Engineering Manager's daily partner: you adjust priorities if needed, and your communication skills and ability to collaborate with engineers ensure our quality standards and commitments are met.
  • Data is your best friend: data drives your decisions and vision… You never work without data
YOU ARE IN THE RIGHT PLACE IF:
  • You are fluent in English (multicultural teams).
  • You have strong Product Manager experience 6/8+ years for senior/staff, ideally with a B2B focus.
  • You have a proven track record of creating successful product vision.
  • You have strong business maturity and understand the company challenges that come at each phase of growth, including the acquisition channels.
  • You master soft skills like leadership, negotiation, and communication. This is highly appreciated by your stakeholders, who feel heard and engaged in your vision and operational activities. You have experience with facilitating difficult trade-offs and rallying people around a common plan.
  • You have product management experience in an agile environment (Scrum, Kanban, etc.) and you can shape product discovery and delivery according to agile principles. You are skilled with Product Designers, UX researchers, and Engineering teams & comfortable working with multiple strategic stakeholders.
  • You have a problem-solver attitude, comfortable navigating ambiguous situations using data and putting the user at the center of all your thoughts.
  • You are driven by impact, fluent with data, and have a proven track record of measuring your impact thanks to A/B tests.
  • You are a team player and know how to use soft power to embark people with you.
