Get AI-powered advice on this job and more exclusive features.For one of our clients, we are looking for a Subsea Pipeline Design EngineerUnder the responsibility of the team dedicated to flowline in-place design, your main responsibilities will be to:ResponsibilitiesPerform flowline design analyses critically reviewing the results, exploring alternatives and documenting them in technical notes.Collaborate in preparing the MTOs (Material Take-Offs).Conduct main in-place pipeline design activities such as sizing, stability, FEM analyses for lateral buckling and pipeline walking.Integrate a team dedicated to flowline in-place design for execution of projects and tenders.Ensure design and detailing in accordance with acknowledged industry Codes, Standards and Design Guides, Client Specifications and Scopes of Work, and internal standards.Production and checking of design documentation including feasibility reports, detailed in-place design reports, specifications, material take-offs, etc.Be aware of the overall project / tender planning and responsible for the planning of his / her Scope of Work.Ensure progress and compliance of the supplier in close interface with SCM function.Follow-up pipeline design activities, fabrications, and testing.Ensure the work is performed in accordance with the latest HSEQ and Group procedures.Provide engineering assistance during mobilisations and occasional periods of offshore or site working, including FATs, SITs, Pre-commissioning, etc.Participate as required in events such as Bid Clarifications, Kick off meetings, HIRAs, Design Reviews, etc.Check that the procedure and analysis match the project objectives.Attend project audits related to Engineering Activities as and when required.Attend project engineering reviews as and when required.Provide technical engineering support to other departments within the Engineering Group, the Project Engineering Group, and to colleagues in terms of training and mentoring.Ensure that know-how is transferred within the discipline & attend to discipline meetings as required.Profile & QualificationsMSc or PhD in mechanical engineering/hydrodynamics, with relevant work experience in the oil and gas industry or equivalent, with experiences of pipeline systems analysis.Proficiency in FEM software for pipeline analysis.Knowledge of Python language is required.Undertake responsibility for production of deliverables, which may include engineering support to Drafting Office, design calculations, specifications, procedures, analyses, progress reports, bid evaluations, study reports and various 3rd-party submissions.Experience in working in a multi-disciplined system engineering teamAbility to prioritise own workload, manage time accordingly and inform team members where constraints will affect a project in terms of programme or budget.Demonstrable ability to work within time/budget constraintsAbility in Vendor and 3rd Party interfaceAbility in working in multicultural groupConditions and additional informationMajority of the work is carried out in the regional main office site – ParisWorking hours according to local regulation and Company\'s policySeniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionIndustries: Engineering Services and Oil and GasReferrals increase your chances of interviewing at AVENTA by 2x #J-18808-Ljbffr
