AXA Health International is a new structure within the Health Division that will bring together all cross‑border health and protection insurance and reinsurance teams. The Head of Underwriting will lead a portfolio of large corporate and international organisation clients while ensuring profitability and managing the transition from ALHIS to AXA Health International. Key accountabilities Lead a team of 8 commercial underwriters focused on Cross‑border Health & Protection risks for large corporate and IGO/NGO segments. Ensure new business and profitability targets are met for a EUR 400 million portfolio. Assess risks against AHI’s appetite at new business and renewal stages. Collaborate across AXA Health International, especially the Partnerships & Reinsurance Market Function, and occasionally present to clients. Work with the Proposition Contracts team to issue client accounts and profit share statements on time. Contribute to the overall technical excellence agenda as part of the senior leadership of AHI’s Underwriting & Proposition Global Function. Technical Skills & Competencies 10+ years in a similar underwriting role, with an underwriting authority of at least EUR 3 million. Experience in the IPMI large corporate segment and the IGO/NGO/MOFA segment. Technical expertise with health and protection risks. Exposure to both direct and reinsurance. Strong team‑building and analytical skills. Excellent English and French required. Personal skills & capabilities Exceptional communication, active listening, and stakeholder engagement. Emotional intelligence and network building. Strong presentation skills and ability to explain complex ideas. Resilience and composure in uncertainty. Ability to interact with senior stakeholders across the organization. Experience in multicultural, multilingual, remote environments. #J-18808-Ljbffr
