Key Responsibilities Hardware Setup & Maintenance: Install, configure, and troubleshoot datacenter hardware—including servers and network gear. Perform server swaps, manage cables, keep racks organized, set up RAID configurations, work with BMC ports, and image servers. Collaboration & Coordination: Work with internal teams and vendors to handle deployments, maintenance, and new site setups. Keep documentation and the knowledge base up to date. Optimizing & Innovating: Improve rack designs, cooling systems, and power management. Suggest smarter ways to work, making operations faster and more efficient. What Success Looks Like In The First Year Confidently manage installations, troubleshooting, and maintenance. Contribute as a team player, enhancing overall operations with practical ideas. Understand how our datacenter operations work and how everything fits together. About You Problem solver with solid experience troubleshooting hardware and resolving datacenter issues. Technical know‑how: familiar with RAID setups, BMC ports, imaging servers, and hardware swapping/configuration. Networking skills: knowledgeable about cable management, connectors, and configuring SFPs. Physical capability: can lift 45 kg and live within 50 km of our Montreal Datacenter for on‑call shifts. Organized: follows ITIL or Agile principles and maintains clean, detailed documentation. French fluency required; English fluency essential. On‑site, full‑time (5 days per week) with a rotating on‑call schedule (one week every five weeks). Compensation for out‑of‑hour duties; some on‑call may be remote. Bonus skill: understand server urbanization and determine optimal server placement based on power and capacity.
