Deployment & Operations Engineer Join to apply for the Deployment & Operations Engineer role at Thales Location: Paris, France The role focuses on ensuring performance and continuity of managed services and digital products on the Trustnest Platform in Azure, using an SRE approach, proactive incident resolution, and continuous performance analysis. PROFIL Engineer or equivalent with at least 5 years of experience managing performance and continuity of managed services on cloud infrastructures for a major account or a CAC40 company. Strong analytical mindset, inventive, and enjoys structuring problems. Comfortable with complex problem resolution. Committed to continuous improvement through practical experience, research, study, and knowledge sharing. Excellent relational skills and collaborative work. Multicultural Agile environment, comfortable in English (C1 minimum). COMPÉTENCES Advanced expertise in observability tools (Datadog, PagerDuty, Azure Monitoring, etc.). Proficiency in IaC and scripting: Ansible, Helm Charts, Terraform, FluxCD, PowerShell, Python. Experience with software engineering tools: Jira, Artifactory, GitLab, SonarQube. Familiarity with Azure resources: AKS, ACR, API Management, Event Grid, Event Hubs, Cloud Shell, VNets, NSGs, AAD Integration, Microsoft Defender, Conditional Access. Daily application of Agile and ITIL v4 methodologies. Rigorous, organized, excellent communication, adaptability, and autonomy. VOS MISSIONS Identify and create SLIs to guarantee performance and continuity of managed services and digital products. Implement, maintain, and operate log and monitoring solutions (Datadog, PagerDuty) for effective service surveillance, proactive alert management, and continuous performance analysis to optimize digital product quality and availability. Develop governance practices to ensure consistent and optimal tool and process usage within the team. Create and maintain automation scripts and tools to streamline service management and product processes. Collaborate closely with other teams to design, implement, and maintain DR and continuity plans. Detect, track, and resolve incidents or problems, determining root causes and implementing preventive actions to avoid recurrence, while maintaining transparent communication with stakeholders. Document comprehensive technical documentation to capture knowledge and facilitate onboarding and skill transfer. Actively participate in agile and ITIL ceremonies, contributing to continuous improvement of development and service management practices. Engage in ongoing learning through Learning Moments (bi‑weekly dedicated professional development).
