No Offer Description Offer Description: A project manager position (initial contract of 1 year, renewable) is available under the supervision of Lina Benajiba (physician-scientist, team leader). The project manager will contribute to the organization, coordination, and monitoring of the team’s projects. The projects aim to understand the molecular mechanisms involved in the development and progression of acute myeloid leukemia. The ultimate goal is to identify new therapeutic approaches to improve the prognosis of this disease. The team is young, dynamic, and international. It benefits from an ERC Starting Grant funding and the ATIP-Avenir label. The Paris Saint-Louis Leukemia Institute is a Hospital-University Institute with an internationally renown leukemia research program. Its main goal is to develop new approaches to cure leukemias and associated diseases. Our research institute is located in the center of Paris, on the Saint-Louis campus, and benefits from a close relationship with Saint-Louis Hospital. Most of the studies conducted by our team have translational research implications, in close collaboration with the clinical teams at Saint-Louis Hospital. The team works in partnership with the Clinical Investigation Center of Saint-Louis Hospital (INSERM-CIC 1427) to accelerate the clinical translation of laboratory discoveries. The team maintains numerous national and international collaborations. It has privileged access to patient cohorts and primary samples, as well as to a wide range of institutional technological platforms, including a fully equipped animal facility, a flow cytometry platform, a sequencing platform, and an imaging platform. Job location: Institute: Paris Saint Louis Leukemia Institute Team composition: 3 principal investigators, 3 associated clinicians, 1 lab manager, 2 bio-informaticians, 3 research technicians, 2 post-doctoral fellows, 4 PhD students and 4 Master students. Main activities: Support in the development of individual or collaborative research projects (monitoring funding calls, assistance with writing and assembling grant applications). Participation in the monitoring of research projects (assistance with writing activity reports and other project-related documents, scientific monitoring, and preparation of concise presentations on scientific topics of interest). Contribution to the dissemination and valorization of the team’s research results (assistance with writing and formatting publications, dissemination of results through various communication tools). Generation of content for the team’s website and other communication tools. Coordination of the organization of local, national and international meetings, seminars, and symposia. Identification of collaboration opportunities and coordination of teams to develop national or international collaborative research programs. Interaction with research support structures for all cross-cutting activities, including ethical, financial, infrastructure, and networking issues. Participation in the recruitment of team members (drafting and managing job advertisements, pre-screening applications based on CVs and interviews). Presentation of data in oral or written form, and preparation of materials for scientific presentations. Participation in the supervision and mentoring of team members (review of theses, dissertations, manuscripts, etc.). Management of databases and/or biobanks (sample repositories). Required knowledge: Strong theoretical and practical knowledge in hematology and oncology. Good understanding of the challenges and key issues of translational research. Good knowledge of the organization and stakeholders of the research ecosystem. Required know-how: Proficiency in common computer tools (use of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.). Proficiency in written and spoken English. Enjoy working in a team environment, with the ability to facilitate and coordinate group activities. Strong scientific writing and communication skills. Required skills: Enjoy working as part of a team and possess strong interpersonal skills. Highly motivated and dynamic. Demonstrate rigor in work and a strong sense of organization. Strong analytical and synthesis skills. Show initiative, autonomy, and responsiveness. Ability to prioritize tasks and activities effectively. Required experience: Professional research experience in an international and multidisciplinary environment, in hematology and/or oncology. Experience in coordinating and managing research projects is desirable but not required.
