Regional HR Manager - EMEA – CanonicalWe are hiring a Regional HR Manager for APAC to join our People team at Canonical. With over 1,200 colleagues across 75 countries, we seek a regional lead to help build our company as we continue to grow.OverviewAs the Regional HR Manager, you will lead the APAC team of HR professionals to provide precise, compliant, and scalable HR operations, advise and execute on HR issues across the employee life‑cycle, and partner with senior leadership in your region.ResponsibilitiesLead and scale Canonical's regional HR teamDeliver precise and compliant HR operations in a timely manner and with the highest degree of accuracyInteract closely with the broader People team to create tight‑knit processes across all regionsBe accountable for HR processes such as talent development, succession planning, performance assessments, onboarding, culture and engagement initiatives that drive high‑performing teamsWork with senior managers across the business on performance management, organisational design, employee engagement, rewards and workforce planningOwn, coach and advise people managers on the full spectrum of employee relations issues across multiple countriesPartner with people managers to support the delivery of appropriate training and development programmesEstablish a trusted partnership with the business in your regionDrive diversity, equity and inclusion initiativesDesign new policies and deliver on business‑critical HR related projects globallyPresent at Canonical events to articulate Canonical's HR practicesQualificationsExceptional academic track record from high school and universityHR experience leading initiatives across regions within a technology businessPeople‑management experienceExperience in business partnering with senior stakeholdersA good balance between leading and executing; hands‑on involvement in daily HR routines is requiredExperience working in a remote‑first organisationAble to leverage data to make informed decisionsKnowledge and practical implementation of HR practices and employment law across APACExperience handling and overseeing complex employee‑relations matters across multiple jurisdictionsFluent in business English (written and spoken)Self‑motivated, organised, accurate, confident, authentic, results‑orientated, open‑minded, enthusiastic and energeticWillingness to travel up to four times a year for internal eventsNice‑to‑have skillsExperience with immigration policies and mobility processesProfessional HR qualification (CIPD/SHRM or equivalent)Facilitation skillsBenefitsDistributed work environment with twice‑yearly team sprints in personPersonal learning and development budget of USD 2,000 per yearAnnual compensation reviewRecognition rewardsAnnual holiday leaveMaternity and paternity leaveEmployee Assistance ProgrammeOpportunity to travel to new locations to meet colleaguesPriority Pass and travel upgrades for long‑haul company eventsAbout CanonicalCanonical is a pioneering tech firm at the forefront of the global move to open source.
