Solution Architect – remote assignment in English (fluent in English) with a major client’s IT team on site during the first project phase. Responsibilities Understand, interpret, and respond to detailed business requirement specifications and incorporate that understanding into architecture solutions and specifications. Customize and use architecture, modelling, or design tools to develop solutions. Design the required conceptual architecture models using the client’s architectural standard tools, define solution components, and analyse existing systems for reusable components. Design, develop, test and deploy customized artefacts (reports, data export/import scripts, diagrams, object layouts, tool configurations, etc.) according to a set of requirements. Identify system, infrastructure, and project interdependencies; balance competing demands to ensure project deliverables are achieved. Assess the usage of the client’s modelling tools and advise on governance, conventions, procedures, methods, customisations, and/or configurations that will ensure effective usage. Requirements University degree in IT or relevant discipline with a minimum of 10 years of relevant working experience in IT. Minimum 5 years of experience as a technology architect, data architect or applications/services architect. Experience in software development. Experience with on‑premise, virtualization, and cloud‑based infrastructure (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS). Experience working in an agile software development environment. Experience with OCP, Postgres and Kafka. Experience in solutions architecture and design across a broad portfolio of software, cloud and/or data projects. Hands‑on knowledge in the administration, customisation and use of the architecture, modelling or design tools (e.g. Sparx EA). Excellent knowledge of architecture solutions design, modelling and project management. Excellent knowledge of key IT skills: software engineering, security, system and network management, transaction processing, location and directory, user interface, international operations, data interchange, data management, graphics and image, operating system services, network services, communications infrastructure. Strong knowledge of cloud platforms. Knowledge of security best practices and tools. Biometrics knowledge would be considered an asset. A TOGAF practitioner certification is required.
