Fullstack Software Engineer (x/f/m) – Ops AI Platform Join to apply for the Fullstack Software Engineer (x/f/m) – Ops AI Platform role at Alan. About Alan Alan’s vision is to make prevention the new norm of care for all. Our mission is to help people live in good health to 100 while helping employers feel proud, turning health benefits from a cost centre into their most valuable investment. We are building a vertically integrated health partner that seamlessly unites insurance and smart healthcare delivery into one system. By connecting all aspects of care – private, public, and direct‑to‑consumer – we create the most member‑centric healthcare experience. We partner with 35k+ companies, serve more than 1M users, and have reached 770M+ in ARR. Our team of 700+ people (still growing) operates across France 🇫🇷, Spain 🇪🇸, Belgium 🇧🇪, and Canada 🇨🇦. Ops AI Platform Team We’re building a platform where AI agents autonomously handle operational work – connected to every internal and external tool, trained by operators themselves, running safely at scale. The Ops AI Platform will let our Ops team create, evolve, and monitor their own AI agents to automate thousands of tedious tasks. The project just launched, so you’d join at ground zero, shaping the architecture, product, and foundation. Key Responsibilities Integrate agents into internal tools, providing UI for monitoring, review of reasoning, actions, and follow‑up instructions for instantaneous business impact. Empower non‑technical users to autonomously create and maintain agents, covering prompting, tool configuration, testing, datasets, replayability, and evaluations. Build a complete set of tools for AI agents, connecting to internal and external capabilities, including internal business data and external services. Focus on safety and accuracy: develop robust testing, stateful evaluation, progressive rollouts, human‑in‑the‑loop validation for sensitive actions, and fine‑grained permissions. Scale the system from a few dozen to tens of thousands of tasks automated daily, ensuring performance and reliability. Influence system architecture and code quality, mentor engineers, contribute to product and engineering culture, and participate in hiring. Qualifications Product engineers with 3+ years of experience, excited about state‑of‑the‑art AI systems. Background in full‑stack software engineering, systems architecture, with a focus on back‑end. Experience with traditional ML, LLMs, or ML‑dev‑ops preferred. Product‑mindful, pragmatic, self‑directed, and collaborative. Fluent in English. Humble with the willingness to grow, regardless of seniority. Benefits Joining Alan is complemented by generous equity, flexible office options, top‑tier equipment, flexible vacation policy, comprehensive health insurance, commuter benefits, learning & training opportunities, personal coaching, and parental leave. Important note We hire people, not roles. If you’re excited but don’t meet every box, we’d love to hear from you. Everyone, including underrepresented groups, is encouraged to apply.
