Role and Context Reporting to the CIO of Exterior and Lighting, the D&IS Business Partner for Exterior & Lighting Central Europe runs the BG IS organization for the assigned country/cluster in line with global BG & IS strategy and regional business needs. He/she partners with the business to identify, rationalize, and prioritize global & regional IS demands for its Region and ensures proper allocation of financial resources, by ensuring sound budget management and proposing investment decisions backed up by solid business cases. Main Activities Business Relationship Management Acts as the business unit’s frontline representative to the IS organization in the Region and communicates regional plans and priorities. Coaches business leaders to articulate technology needs and requirements that advance business performance. Collects, centralizes, and prioritizes BG IS demands and investments in IS capabilities for its Region, with BG CIO, and prioritizes the portfolio. Deploys IS strategy aligned with the regional business strategy. Collaborates with IS service/project managers to build an approved portfolio for BG-specific applications in the Region. Manages the Regional portfolio of services and ensures visibility into delivery of solutions. Leads planning processes and provides regular reports on progress and business value of applications and projects in the Region. Portfolio Management Manages IS projects for its Region and leads delivery within agreed deadlines, costs, and quality. Assesses capacity and resources needed for project delivery. Reports on project risks and issues and proposes countermeasures. Provides coaching and guidance to local project managers on best practices and methodology. Operations Management Together with BG CIO, prepares IS regional budgets including cost-justified proposals for investments, upgrades and new systems. Establishes and measures KPIs for IS project management and performance. Ensures solutions deliver value throughout their life cycle and supports adoption through training and process improvement. IMS Management Coordinates IMS processes for the region with D&IS Group functions, oversees audits, and shares best practices with other BGs/Regions. People Management & Development Ensures the right people are in the right roles and develops IS personnel through challenging assignments and training. Directs analysis of resource requirements including make vs. buy decisions. Qualifications Master’s degree or Engineering degree, ideally in information systems. At least 10 years of IT/IS leadership in industrial environments (automotive sector experience preferred). Experience operating in global companies with matrix organizations (multi-regional and multi-divisions). Excellent project management skills and ability to manage complex IS projects. Strong business acumen. Key Behavioral Competencies Excellent communication and stakeholder relationship skills across BGs, functions, and geographies. Strong change management capabilities and ability to drive positive change. Service mindset and continuous improvement attitude. Proven ability to deliver results and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment. Analytical, structured, and process-oriented; able to work with multicultural teams. Proficiency in English; additional languages are a plus. Willingness to travel as needed.
