Join us on a mission to reshape the futureAbout The RoleSenior Quantum Compilation Scientist (Firmware) — As a Senior Quantum Compilation Scientist, you will design, develop, and optimize the compilation toolchain that transforms quantum programs into physical gates for our quantum processors. This role sits at the intersection of quantum information science, theoretical computer science, computer architecture, and software engineering, and directly impacts the performance and scalability of our quantum systems.ResponsibilitiesUnderstand, design and build intermediate representations and a quantum computing compiler to best utilize our fault-tolerant architecture.Ensure integration of the compilation into Alice & Bob’s tool suite, considering user needs and collaborating with software and business teams.Design metrics for quantum compilers and maximize the performance of our compiler.Apply for and secure patents.Contribute to the scientific community by publishing results and presenting at conferences.Mentor junior team members, interns, and PhD students.Requirements2+ years (post-PhD) of experience (or equivalent) in academia or industry on quantum computing or compiler design and implementation.Demonstrated expertise in at least one of: quantum compilation, quantum error correction, fault-tolerant quantum algorithms, classical language and compilation theory.Proficiency in Python and at least one compiled language (e.g., C++, Rust).
