Join us today About the Role As a Senior Quantum Algorithms Scientist, you will define the path to real‑world applications for fault‑tolerant quantum computing. You will leverage your quantum simulation expertise to identify and develop applications solvable with a few hundred logical qubits. You will also serve as a scientific expert, driving collaborations with our academic and industry partners. Responsibilities Collaborate with our lead scientist in quantum simulation to develop the company’s application roadmap for your area of expertise (e.g. quantum chemistry, nuclear physics, or another relevant field) Develop novel quantum algorithms Optimize the implementation of quantum algorithms to our architecture, and challenge it Work on the first unchallenged quantum advantage (as soon as Alice & Bob’s hardware becomes available) Contribute to scientific collaborations with both academic institutions and industry partners Stay up‑to‑date with the scientific literature for quantum algorithms in quantum chemistry and quantum applications in the pharmaceutical, chemical, materials and energy sector Shape Alice & Bob’s application strategy for quantum chemistry Requirements A PhD or 3+ years research experience in quantum simulation (e.g. quantum chemistry, nuclear physics, or another relevant field) Successful track‑record of driving research initiatives and solid publication portfolio Solid experience with quantum algorithms Professional‑level English proficiency, both written and spoken Nice to Have Strong experience with software design and best practices Understanding of quantum computing and error correction Familiarity with industry applications (pharma / chemistry / materials / energy) Benefits Our success is your success: own it with our BSPCE plan Direct IP Compensation: Earn substantial bonuses for driving the core patents that define our quantum architecture Flexible remote policy, up to 40 % a month A Parental Plan including additional benefits such as crèche support or additional days‑off to take care of under‑12‑years‑old children Subsidized membership with Urban Sports Club Mental health support with moka.care 25‑day vacation policy (as per French law) + RTT Half of transportation cost coverage (as per French law), or yearly allowance for the die‑hard bicycle users Competitive health coverage, with Helium/Axa Meal vouchers with Swile, as well as access to a fully equipped and regularly stocked kitchen French language courses covered by the company for those interested Recruitment Process Screening Call with Grace, Talent Acquisition Specialist (30 min) Hiring Manager Interview with Linde (45 min) Technical Interview/Presentation with the team (90 min)Leadership & Fit Interview (60 min) Reference Check Research shows that women might feel hesitant to apply for this job if they don’t match 100 % of the job requirements listed.
