SaintLaurent, Occitanie, France Valsoft Corporation Temps plein

Group Ventures is Valsoft's incubator. We find opportunities in the market and build companies to address them. The finance team inside Group Ventures keeps the books for four of those companies so far: ValPay, Tenerum, Sadie Technology, and Plug & Pay.

We're looking for a financial analyst to run their day-to-day accounting cycle: vendors, payments, banking operations, recurring schedules, and close support. You'll work directly with the Finance Controller, who keeps responsibility for accounting judgement, financial statements, and technical positions. You'll be the one running the accounting engine each day.

The work spans several entities and seven currencies (CAD, USD, EUR, GBP, AUD, NZD, CHF) on NetSuite OneWorld. Volume is high and close deadlines are tight.

AI should be part of how you work. Use it to draft, analyse, and automate the repetitive parts of the cycle. You're responsible for the accuracy of whatever gets posted.

What we value

  • Accuracy, and the habit of checking your own work before anyone else has to.
  • Finishing what you own without being chased.
  • Understanding how each entity earns and spends money.
  • Discretion with confidential financial information.
  • Curiosity, and a willingness to fix a process that keeps producing the same error.
  • The honesty to say when something is wrong, including your own work.

What you'll do

  • Keep payables accurate and vendors paid on time
    • Monitor the AP shared mailboxes (ValPay, Tenerum, Sadie) and run the weekly invoice-entry batch: triage, rename and file PDFs, code invoices by entity, division and GL account, prepare the NetSuite bill import file, and attach supporting documents. Process recurring invoices per established coding rules.
    • Obtain missing spend approvals from budget owners, reconcile vendor statements, investigate differences, and clear past-due invoices.
    • Set up and maintain vendor records in NetSuite, including banking details, tax forms and payment terms, checking every banking change before it goes in.
    • Prepare the weekly payment run: payment proposal, draft-only payment entry in the banking portal, remittance advices, and approval follow-up.
  • Keep cash and bank records reconciled
    • Download bank statements and transactions for all entities, code and post entries in NetSuite, and prepare the monthly bank reconciliations with reconciling items listed for review.
    • Own the credit card cycle: collect receipts, chase cardholders, produce the monthly expense file, and prepare the reconciliation and journal-entry upload file.
  • Get customers invoiced and cash applied
    • Issue and send customer invoices, and follow up on missing or corrected ones.
    • Apply cash receipts, maintain the AR aging, and handle first-level collection follow-up, flagging past-due accounts and disputes to the Controller for escalation.
  • Support the month-end close
    • Maintain recurring schedules (prepaids, accruals, fixed assets and depreciation, deferred revenue) and prepare balance sheet reconciliations for lower-complexity accounts, documenting open items.
    • Prepare standard and recurring journal entries with full supporting documentation for Controller review and approval, then upload the approved files to NetSuite and verify posting accuracy.
    • Run intercompany confirmations: prepare balance confirmations, circulate them to group entities, follow up, and assemble settlement support.
  • Keep records audit-ready and support the Controller
    • File and archive supporting documentation per the established folder structure, pull samples and documents requested by external auditors, and keep audit folders current.
    • Handle finance requests in Jira, gathering documentation, keeping tickets updated and closing them once resolved. Write and maintain the procedures for the tasks you own.
    • Work with the Controller on ad hoc requests and special projects: onboarding new entities or acquisitions, opening and closing bank accounts, system implementations, and data gathering for analyses and reporting. Prepare the documents, data extracts and working files for files the Controller leads, and pick up other accounting-cycle work as team needs and period priorities change.
