OverviewSenior Database Reliability Engineer to join the Doctolib Database Optimization team in the Platform team. As a Senior Database Reliability Engineer, your mission will be to work on ensuring the reliability and performance of our datastores while fostering a platform mindset in our transition to the "you build it, you run it" paradigm. You will work in a multidisciplinary team made of both Site Reliability Engineers and Software Engineers, enabling a complete view of the problems and potential solutions.Working in the tech team at Doctolib involves building innovative products and features to improve the daily lives of care teams and patients. We work in feature teams in an agile environment, while collaborating with product, design, and business teams.Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:ResponsibilitiesReliability Engineering: Ensure high availability of our datastores and operational efficiency through observability, automation, tooling, backup strategies, disaster recovery planning and process improvementDatabase maintenance: Handle database infrastructure maintenance including upgrades, performance optimization, cost optimization and capacity planningDatabase-as-a-service: Empower feature teams with database tooling, guidelines, training and support to manage and use their databases efficientlyIncident mitigation: Participate in incident response for datastore-related issues in production during business hours, when issues cannot be fixed by the responsible feature teamDatastore expertise sharing: Stay up-to-date with datastore technology evolution and share knowledge with the team on new features, best practices, and industry trendsAbout our tech environmentOur solutions are built on a single fully cloud-native platform that supports web and mobile app interfaces, multiple languages, and is adapted to the country and healthcare specialty requirements.
