CDI, Paris, 5 or 4 days a week.I am helping a french accessible luxury (premium) brand find a bag designer to join their team as they evolve their accessories collectionReporting to the collections director, this person will have a strong understanding of bag design and have a creative eye with a commercial sensibility. You will also be working directly with the creative directorMissions:1. **Design and Development:**- Create innovative and trend-setting designs for leather goods, including handbags, wallets, belts, and other accessories.- Develop sketches, technical drawings, and prototypes to effectively communicate design concepts.- Collaborate closely with the product development team to ensure feasibility and adherence to brand specifications.2. **Material Selection:**- Work with suppliers and the sourcing team to select high-quality leathers and other materials suitable for luxury goods.- Stay informed about new materials, techniques, and technologies relevant to leather goods production.3. **Brand Alignment:**- Ensure all designs are consistent with the brand’s image, heritage, and strategic goals.- Attend design reviews and present collections to key stakeholders for feedback and approval.4. **Trend Analysis:**- Keep abreast of global fashion trends, competitor activities, and market demands to ensure our collections are current and competitive.- Incorporate customer feedback and market research into design concepts.5. **Collaboration and Communication:**- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, merchandising, and production, to ensure cohesive product development from concept through to final product.- Liaise with artisans and craftsmen to ensure designs are brought to life with the highest level of quality and precision.6. **Innovation and Sustainability:**- Explore sustainable design options and contribute to the brand’s sustainability initiatives.- Continuously seek innovative approaches to design and manufacturing that enhance product quality and brand value.Profile:- Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Industrial Design, or a related field.- Proven experience in leather goods design, preferably with a premium or luxury brand.- Strong portfolio showcasing creativity, advanced sketching, and technical design skills.- Excellent understanding of leather materials, construction techniques, and production processes.- Ability to translate ideas into aesthetically appealing and commercially viable designs.- Fluent in French; proficiency in English is a plus.- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. #J-18808-Ljbffr
