Engineering Manager - Product Security (EMEA)Paris, FranceWe are looking for a manager to lead our newly established Secure System Access team within our SDLC Security org. This team is responsible for implementing fine grained access controls throughout the systems that manage our source-to-runtime pipeline, implementing authorization for all the systems that manage Datadog’s supply chain. These access and credential management systems live in the hot path for developers at Datadog, and so they must be resilient to failure scenarios and scale with the growth of our company. Your team will work on implementing secure-by-default golden paths for common developer use cases, using technologies such as Hashicorp’s Vault, AWS KMS, octo-sts and more to secure our pipeline from developers all the way out to the node.You’ll join at an ideal time to make a big impact as the need for robust supply chain security is higher than it’s ever been. We operate as a hybrid workplace to ensure our Datadogs can create a work-life harmony that best fits them.What You’ll Do:Guide and mentor a small team of security and software engineers, emphasizing career development, inclusivity, and high performance.Drive the technical roadmap in collaboration with infrastructure, security, and other product engineering teams to align our work with company-wide security objectives.Write highly performant software, contributing to and maintaining the codebase of our policy evaluation systemsTake a pragmatic, risk-based approach to complex technical problems and work with your team to produce well-defined and actionable plans.Balance your time between management, and hands-on technical work.Have a direct impact on users and the overall trust of our platform.Who You Are:Experienced managing an engineering team distributed across multiple timezones.Familiar with product workflows, and building security into the user experienceYou are able to work closely with engineering and DevOps teams to integrate security seamlessly into the development process.An excellent communicator and collaborator, able to work effectively through complex technical problems with a diverse group of stakeholders.Familiar with modern secret management systems such as Hashicorp Vault and AWS KMSComfortable working in a fast paced, high growth environment, and able to adapt strategies and solutions in response to emerging challenges and opportunities.Passionate about building products that engineers love and believe in the true outcome of DevSecOpsFamiliar with continuous security scanning and fine-tuning SAST rules and methodologyKnown as a subject matter expert in the cryptography fieldDatadog values people from all walks of life.
