OverviewReady to be the legal wizard for the world of IoT? We\'re expanding our legal team and are on the hunt for a brilliant Legal Counsel to dive into our exciting in-house environment. This isn\'t your average stuffy legal gig; it\'s a chance to be at the heart of our operations, providing essential legal support and advice to everyone from our senior business leaders to our sales and administration teams. You\'ll be a key player in our small but mighty legal team, working closely with the Group Head of Legal and our current trainee solicitor, and collaborating directly with the CEO, CFO, and in-country MDs.Your Daily Quest (Key Responsibilities)Provide commercial legal advice, including negotiating contracts and NDAs, responding to internal legal queries, and involvement in customer negotiations. Tackle insolvency, insurance matters, and billing queries.Manage disputes from start to finish, including debt claims with our credit control and sales admin teams, small claims litigation, and engagement with external debt collection agencies and legal advisers. Attend court proceedings where necessary and oversee our independent arbitration facility.Assist with Corporate/M&A activities, specifically post-acquisition onboarding for deals and coordinating with external resources to obtain necessary due diligence materials for the legal team.Maintain compliance by staying on top of relevant Telecoms and IoT regulatory requirements (including Ofcom consultations) and sharing this information with customers.Help maintain our intellectual property and copyright, including assisting with our trademark portfolio and other IP issues.Support the Group Data Protection Officer with Data Protection tasks, including data impact assessments, incident reports, customer queries, and ensuring compliance with Data Protection Laws.The Secret Sauce (Key Experience & Skills)Eligibility to practice law in France; or qualification in another civil law jurisdiction with substantial experience in French law.Background in commercial contract law and experience with commercial disputes and claims, plus knowledge of related legal processes.Excellent written and verbal communication skills; fluent in French and English.Ability to manage multiple tasks and caseloads effectively.Attention to detail with strong analytical abilities.Strong legal research skills and a genuine desire to develop legal knowledge.Bonus Skills: office administrative skills (filing, typing, letter writing), strong teamwork, flexibility, and understanding of business needs.What Will Make You Shine At Wireless Logic (Behaviours & Culture)Motivation and passion that lights up the room.Ability to stay calm under pressure.Develop, inspire and engage others, supporting inclusion and equity.Promote social initiatives and be a brand ambassador for the business.Commitment to continuous self-development and a collaborative, can-do attitude.Accountability, professionalism, and resilience.Your Objectives For The YearBecome a commercial contracts expert by negotiating and drafting a wide range of commercial contracts while ensuring legal compliance and protecting Wireless Logic\'s interests.Improve dispute resolution by efficiently managing a significant portion of small claims and debt recovery, reducing external legal spend.Support M&A integration with the legal onboarding of acquired entities and seamless post-acquisition documentation and processes.Why Come Work With Us?Join a creative, entrepreneurial company where bold ideas are celebrated.Full training, ongoing support, and tools to thrive and grow in your role.We value our people and foster a welcoming, inclusive, family-like culture.How we workWe offer a hybrid working approach that combines collaboration in office spaces with the flexibility of working from home.
