We create a new Amazon history together The familiar “express delivery,” “specified delivery date & time,” and “same‑day delivery” started in Japan and are enabled by the fulfillment center (FC). Since its opening in 2005, the FC grew to more than 25 locations across Japan. We are looking for passionate colleagues who can lead team development and innovation as an Area Manager. Work Style Shift work with a monthly flexible working‑hours system. Typical schedule: 8 hours/day, 2 days off per week, not exceeding an average of 40 hours per week per month. Shifts (day/night) determined by the company; next month’s schedule provided by the end of the current month. Day and night shifts are separated by at least one day off to reduce burden. Education System During the first week after joining, you will receive classroom lessons about Amazon’s culture and basic FC operations. After department assignment, you will learn process knowledge and tool usage through OJT under a training manager. Training materials are provided and progress is monitored, creating an environment where unexperienced staff can start confidently. You will learn the latest logistics systems and business skills while working with diverse colleagues regardless of age, gender, or nationality. Key Job Responsibilities Develop and support team members: Engage proactively, improve workplace based on feedback, provide guidance on Amazon culture, listen to concerns, manage attendance and working hours. Improve safety, quality, and work efficiency of assigned processes: Lead safety activities, quality checks, ergonomic improvements, and training progress. Respond to daily operations: Manage receiving, inventory, and shipping flows to meet delivery deadlines despite volume fluctuations, labor shortages, or system problems. Lead improvement projects: Conduct annual/monthly projects to enhance safety and productivity, collaborate with related departments, and participate in FC events such as Family Day. Basic Qualifications Experience leading teams or staff, regardless of industry (minimum 3 years of work experience). Experience managing about 5 people, including attendance and performance management. Experience implementing operational kaizen and standardization based on quantitative data analysis. Intermediate or higher level PC skills (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot, macros in Excel). Reading and writing level English.
