We’re hiring an Analytics Engineer to architect the foundation for Databricks Genie—our AI‑driven analytics assistant. You’ll design the semantic layer and metrics framework that bridge data and business decision‑making, enabling consistent, governed, and AI‑ready insights across the company. What You Will Accomplish Build the Foundation Design and implement medallion architecture (bronze/silver/gold) in Databricks. Redesign reporting tables into star‑schema dimensional models across key domains. Build and govern semantic and metrics layers using dbt Core and Unity Catalog. Consolidate and standardize 50+ legacy metric definitions into a unified, versioned framework. Enable Self‑Service & Insights Design and build executive dashboards and operational reports that drive business decisions. Partner with stakeholders to translate business questions into reliable, governed metrics. Collaborate with business analysts on A/B testing, LTV modeling, and product analytics. Develop AI‑ready datasets and metric views that power Genie and other AI applications. Support ad‑hoc analysis and experimentation with clear, statistically sound insights. Who You Are Obsessed with clean, governed data that enables self‑service and confident decision‑making. Skilled at translating business needs into data models and visualizations. Communicates complex analytical ideas clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences. Curious about how AI transforms analytics and empowers business users. Required What you bring: 3+ years in analytics engineering, business intelligence, or advanced analytics. Expert in SQL and dbt Core, with proven experience in dimensional modeling. Experience building dashboards and reports in BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or Databricks dashboards). Strong business acumen—you translate metrics and analysis into meaningful action. Preferred Experience with A/B testing, statistical inference, or causal analysis. Python proficiency for analytics and light modeling. Knowledge of AI coding best practices and data readiness for LLMs. Experience enabling self‑service analytics through governed semantic layers. Experience in Databricks and Unity Catalog.
