Responsibilities
- Develop algorithms for processing lidar measurements, including filters, scientific computations, and signal processing
- Develop control and command functions for operating the machine
- Design and develop embedded software in C++ and Rust on Linux/Yocto
- Contribute to the development of the product’s web interface
- Provide corrective and evolutionary maintenance
- Fix bugs and address anomalies identified during testing
- Develop new features
- Perform unit and integration testing
- Work directly with the actual hardware during validation phases
- Use Visual Studio Code, GitHub, and Jenkins (CI/CD)
Requirements
- Master’s degree (Bac+5 engineering degree) in embedded software, embedded systems, electronics, or a related field
- Proven experience in embedded or industrial software development
- Ideally, experience gained on a system that interacts directly with physical hardware
- Essential: Proficiency in C++
- Essential: Proficiency in Rust
- JavaScript or an equivalent technology for web interface development
- Linux environment and knowledge of Yocto
- Experience with Git/GitHub and continuous integration tools, particularly Jenkins
- Knowledge of signal processing, scientific computing, and electronics/instrumentation concepts is a plus
- Scientific rigor and strong analytical skills
- Enjoyment of working directly with real hardware
- Autonomy and the ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment
- Technical curiosity and a desire to understand how the entire system works
