Overview The Packaging Materials division is a global leader in the circular economy with our premium renewable and recyclable packaging materials based on both virgin and recycled fiber. Addressing the needs of today's eco-conscious consumers, we help customers replace fossil-based materials with low-carbon, renewable and recyclable alternatives for their food and drink, pharmaceutical or transport packaging. A wide selection of barrier coatings enables design optimization for various demanding packaging end-uses. Role Converter Support Manager – you will provide technical support to national and international customers, deliver product training, and oversee the implementation of folding box board and packaging-related products and services. A key focus will be minimizing complaints through rapid on-site problem-solving and providing valuable feedback to mill quality management and R&D teams. You will also lead complex projects aimed at optimizing the cartonboard and packaging value chain. This role requires deep expertise in folding box board, a strong background in printing technologies, die‑cutting, and other carton or paper‑related packaging processes, as well as the ability to work independently and manage extensive travel requirements. Key Responsibilities Provide technical support to national and international customers. Support customer requests on product details such as specification, quality & safety, and sustainability. Deliver product training on folding box board and packaging‑related products and services. Oversee the implementation of folding box board solutions for customers. Minimize complaints through rapid on‑site problem‑solving. Share feedback and insights with mill quality management and R&D teams to drive product improvements. Lead complex projects aimed at optimizing the cartonboard and packaging value chain. Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to enhance packaging processes. Monitor and assess market developments for both customers and competitors. Identify potential new customers and develop business opportunities in collaboration with sales. Manage extensive travel requirements, providing on‑site support as needed. Qualifications Industry experience in packaging, with a focus on post‑processing areas such as printing, die‑cutting, gluing, filling, and sealing. Willingness and availability for extensive travel. Initiative, high motivation, and ability to work independently and in a results‑oriented manner. Expertise in web offset printing is essential; additional experience in other applications and processing highly valued. Knowledge of prepress or other consumables such as printing inks and plates is an advantage. Background in technical or engineering fields, coupled with proficiency in both spoken and written French and strong English language skills. Ideally located in France close to an international airport or countries next to the French border. Proficiency in PC‑based work is required.
