The role requires frequent global travel (approximately 85 % of the time).Responsibilities (English)Execute and oversee maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair tasks, independently or as part of a team.Lead service technicians during on‑site operations, ensuring quality, safety and compliance with technical procedures.Provide detailed work reports, including measurements, photos, and progress updates.Represent Wärtsilä professionally, maintaining high standards of conduct and readiness to travel on short notice.Responsabilités (Français)Réaliser et superviser les travaux de maintenance, de dépannage et de réparation, seul ou en équipe.Encadrer des techniciens de service sur site, en veillant à la qualité, la sécurité et au respect des procédures techniques.Rédiger des rapports détaillés sur les interventions (mesures, photos, méthodes de travail, etc.) et assurer le suivi des travaux.Représenter Wärtsilä de manière professionnelle, en maintenant des standards élevés de conduite et une disponibilité pour des déplacements à court préavis.QualificationsBTS (Brevet de Technicien Supérieur) or ENSM (École Nationale Supérieure Maritime) diploma or an equivalent qualification in mechanics or engineering.Solid knowledge of 4‑stroke internal combustion engines.Basic understanding of automation systems.Proficiency in IT tools, including MS Office.Good English skills for technical communication.Ability to work onboard vessels and adapt to diverse environments, with a willingness to travel globally.Ideal Candidate (English)Previous industry experience (engine tuning, development, or maintenance) is a plus.Strong communication and leadership abilities, with excellent teamwork and customer relationship management skills.Highly organized and capable of building effective interpersonal relationships.Accurate and detail‑oriented, with strong critical thinking skills.Proactive, responsible, and self‑motivated.Focused on cost awareness and operational efficiency.Pourquoi rejoindre Wärtsilä ?Work with cutting‑edge engine technologies and global customers.Develop expertise in diagnostics, service operations, and performance optimisation.Enjoy a dynamic, fast‑paced environment with opportunities for professional growth.Contact & Next StepsSubmit your application before the deadline (19 / 12 / 2025) through our Careers portal.
